Hey everyone. This will eventually be the official homepage of my first short film, _Girl on a Bicycle_. As of this date I've dropped the fragile, spliced reel off to Hunt's to be transferred to video. When that comes back from the lab, and when I edit in the other footage, I hope to send it off to some festivals and get some screen grabs and bios and things up here. In the meantime, here are some things that made _GoaB_ possible:

o The music of the Poster Children inspired me a great deal -- their drony, melodic songs (think Galaxie 500, the Minutemen, Devo) burble along on an infectiously chunky beat, and their independent, DIY approach to the creation of art is just too inspiring. I used the song "She Walks" from their first album, _Flower Plower_ as the soundtrack to the film. You can also read my interview with Rose Marshack, their bassist.

o The film was made partially as part of a class I took at the Museum School, under the tutelage of the venerable Louise Bourque.

o Telling your influences is like giving it all away. Nevertheless I feel I must tip my hat to some things that have given me the energy to make this film: The Adventures of Pete & Pete, Lola Rennt (study in movement!) and the films of Tom Tykwer. Maya Deren.
